Jung Seung-won named Round 19 MVP
The Korea Professional Football League on July 24 named FC Seoul’s Jung Seung-won as the Hana Bank K League 1 2026 Round 19 MVP. Jung scored twice in Seoul’s 3–1 win over Pohang at Seoul World Cup Stadium on July 22, netting in the 24th and 43rd minutes of the second half; Seoul were also chosen as the round’s Best Team and extended a six‑match unbeaten run.
Incheon trio named in Round 19 Best 11
The Korea Professional Football League announced on July 24 that Incheon United’s Ferrier, Seo Jae-min and Juan Ibiza were included in the Round 19 Best 11. The league says the TSG technical group selects the round’s best eleven using quantitative and qualitative assessments; the inclusion highlights positive recognition for Incheon players’ recent performances.
Ki Sung-yueng to captain Team K League vs Man City
Yonhap reported on July 24 that former national team captain Ki Sung‑yueng, now with Pohang Steelers, will captain ‘Team K League’ in a friendly against Manchester City at Seoul World Cup Stadium on Aug 5. The K League announced a 24‑player squad for the Coupang Play Series; ten K League 1 clubs are represented and FC Seoul has three players. Goalkeepers include Gu Sung‑yun and Song Bum‑keun.
