Club Overview

VfB Stuttgart was founded in 1893 and was a founding member of the Bundesliga when it launched in 1963. The club has won the league title five times, most recently in the 2006-07 season.

VfB Stuttgart is a Bundesliga club based in Stuttgart, playing at the MHPArena, with a capacity of around 60,058.

Seating Guide

The heart of the home support is the “Cannstatter Kurve”, a large standing section holding around 8,268 fans.

Tickets

The safest way to buy tickets is directly through the club’s official website. Popular matches tend to sell out quickly, so check availability as soon as your travel dates are set.

This site is mainly in German — here's how to get through it

  1. On the ticket site, click your desired match date.
  2. Choose a seating zone — pricing for each zone is shown directly on the site.
  3. Sign up or log in, then pick your seat and complete the payment.
  4. Some clubs check ID against the buyer's name at entry, so bring your passport along with the ticket.

Tip: in Chrome, right-click the page and choose "Translate to English" to read button labels instantly.

Food Guide

Around the stadium you’ll find bars and restaurants that are popular before and after matches. Check the button below for a real, location-based list.

Cheer Culture

Stuttgart’s ‘Cannstatter Kurve’ is known for its melodic, Italian-influenced chants — including ‘Olé, olé, olá,’ brought by Argentine fans and later spread across Germany to become a Bundesliga-wide staple. Even on non-matchdays, fans and club run a joint Christmas market on Mercedesstraße, extending the fan-club relationship beyond the stadium.

💡 Insider Tips

🚌 Transport

MHPArena sits inside Stuttgart’s low-emission zone, so drivers typically park at a nearby S-Bahn park-and-ride station (Vaihingen/Enz, Waiblingen, Winnenden, etc.) and ride in — about 20–40 minutes. VfB also runs an official fan bus on every home matchday, arriving 90 minutes before kickoff and departing 45 minutes after the final whistle.

🏨 Accommodation

Hilton Garden Inn Stuttgart Neckarpark sits inside the same NeckarPark district as the stadium, right next to MHPArena and Porsche-Arena. Motel One Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt (near Wilhelma Zoo) and Aparthotel Adagio Stuttgart NeckarPark (5 minutes on foot from Porsche-Arena) are genuinely walkable too.

🎟️ Tickets

Several home games in the 2025/26 season had general sale open to non-members, but with members getting priority for most tickets, availability shifts match to match. Standing tickets (Cannstatter Kurve) are largely allocated to season-ticket holders and fan clubs and often sell out the moment presale opens — as a visitor, check the official site (shop.vfb.de) for seated general-sale tickets, which are the more realistic option.

🗺️ Tourism Tie-in

The Mercedes-Benz Museum sits directly across from the stadium — Stuttgart’s most-visited attraction, with over 160 cars and 1,500 exhibits. The club’s own fan tour (1.5 hours, €14, covering the locker room, players’ tunnel, and Cannstatter Kurve) pairs well with a half-day trip that includes Schlossplatz, the city’s baroque central square.

🎁 Club Perks

Jeong Woo-yeong has played for VfB since transferring from SC Freiburg in July 2023. He scored the winning goal in South Korea’s 2023 Asian Games final, and netted his first VfB goal on May 4, 2024, in a 3-1 win over Bayern Munich.

💡 Insider Tips

Concession stands accept both contactless cards and cash (a bratwurst runs around €4.20). The home supporters gather in the steep, loud standing section known as the Cannstatter Kurve.
