Anyang Fans Stand By Team Through Turmoil

FC Anyang suffered a 0-3 home defeat to Gangwon FC just days after a leadership crisis nearly saw manager Yoo Byung-hoon and the team’s general manager resign. Despite the lopsided loss, fans at the stadium responded with applause instead of boos. It was that same fan support that had persuaded Yoo to withdraw his resignation earlier in the week. “I’ll repay their support with the next match,” Yoo said, while captain Lee Chang-yong called the fans’ unwavering backing the team’s greatest source of strength through difficult times.
