Rubiksson, Ju Min-gyu, Jeong Jae-hee all score
Daejeon Hana Citizen thrashed Gangwon FC 3-0 at home on the 23rd, picking up their first win over Gangwon this season. After Gangwon’s Seo Min-woo was sent off in the 33rd minute for a rough foul, leaving Daejeon with a man advantage, Rubiksson opened the scoring two minutes into the second half, followed by goals from Ju Min-gyu in the 11th minute and Jeong Jae-hee in the 21st to put the game away. Head coach Hwang Sun-hong said afterward, “They’re a team that presses very well, but I thought that if we could break through their press, we could actually cause them trouble instead” — reflecting on the win.

Gwangju ties record 22-game winless streak
Gwangju FC fell 0-1 at home to Incheon United on the 23rd, failing to climb out of last place. Incheon’s Mugosa converted a penalty kick for the winning goal, extending Gwangju’s winless run to 22 games (7 draws, 15 losses) — tying the all-time K League 1 record set by Jeju United in the 2002-2003 seasons. Another result without a win in their next match would push them past the previous mark of 23 games held by Gwangju Sangmu. Head coach Lee Jeong-gyu voiced his frustration: “Our performances haven’t been bad, we just haven’t been winning. I hope the goals start coming.”
