Pohang barred from hosting home games until stadium declared safe
The Korea Professional Football League decided on August 14 to bar Pohang Steelers from hosting home matches at Pohang Steel Yard until the stadium’s safety is confirmed. The move follows an August 8 incident during a match against Ulsan, when part of the ceiling’s concrete fell and grazed a spectator’s hand. The league said it made the decision after officials visited the venue to inspect the facility in person. As a result, Pohang’s August 22 match against Bucheon FC will move to Bucheon Sports Complex, and the August 30 match against Gangwon FC will move to Gangneung Hi1 Arena. Pohang is handing hosting rights to the visiting clubs while it carries out repairs.

Incheon sign Leandro, a 26-goal veteran of the K League
Incheon United announced on August 14 the signing of Brazilian forward Leandro, 31, who will wear number 70. Leandro has made 157 K League appearances with 26 goals and 30 assists, including four goals and nine assists in 39 K League 1 matches and 22 goals and 21 assists in 122 K League 2 matches. He arrives at Incheon after stops at Seoul E-Land, Daejeon Hana Citizen, Jeonnam Dragons and Seongnam FC. Comfortable on either flank, he is known for his pace and dribbling ability going forward. The club hopes he will add speed and creativity to its attack as it pushes for a strong second half of the season.
