The stadium has the Main Stand plus “Big Stand” (accessed via Gate A, the only section with mixed home/away seating), the South Stand (home goal-end, entirely “Supporters Seats” at roughly ¥3,000–4,000, the most passionate section), and the North Stand (visitor goal-end).

Owner Hiroshi Mikitani changed the kit from black-and-white stripes to crimson, referencing his “Crimson Group” branding and his alma mater Harvard’s color. The club gained global visibility from 2018–2023 when Andrés Iniesta played for the team, leading Vissel to their first-ever major trophy — the 2019 Emperor’s Cup (beating Kashima Antlers in the final) — and the 2020 Japanese Super Cup.

💡 Insider Tips
🚌 Getting Around
Kobe Municipal Subway’s Kaigan Line Misakikoen station is closest. Taking the Kaigan Line from Sannomiya gets you to Misakikoen station without a transfer.
🏨 Lodging
The stadium is in Kobe’s Nagata Ward, somewhat removed from central areas like Sannomiya. Many business hotels — Daiwa Roynet Hotel Kobe-Sannomiya and others — are a 2–7 minute walk from Sannomiya station, so staying there and taking the subway for the day is the common approach.
🎟️ Tickets
The official English ticket site (quick.pia.jp/vissel_en) advertises “quick purchase without registration,” and Rakuten Ticket also has a “How to Access QR Tickets – Overseas” guide page for foreign users.
🗺️ Tourism Tie-in
Taking the Kaigan Line, which serves Misakikoen station, connects to Kobe’s signature attractions like Harborland station and Meriken Park on the same line, making it natural to combine sightseeing with a match.
🎁 Club Perks — a powerful Korean player narrative
In 1999, the “Korean Trio” of Kim Do-hoon, Ha Seok-ju, and Choi Sung-yong filled every foreign player slot with Koreans — a rare feat — and Kim Do-hoon in particular earned the nickname “Kobe Bomber” after scoring 27 goals over two seasons. Kim Nam-il, Kim Tae-yeon, and Lee Kwang-sun have also played for the club. It’s also internationally well known for hosting superstars like Iniesta, David Villa, and Podolski.
