Club Overview

FC Tokyo are a J1 League club based in Chofu, Tokyo, sharing Ajinomoto Stadium with Tokyo Verdy. Capacity is about 48,000.

Seating Guide

The stadium has two-tier Main (west) and Back (east) stands, with the goal-end stands featuring Japan’s first polycarbonate roof, designed to still let sunlight reach the pitch.

Cheer Culture

The “Tokyo Derby” against ground-sharing Tokyo Verdy is the biggest rivalry, with documented flashpoints including a 2008 supporter incident and a 2023 incident targeting a Verdy banner. The chant “Verdy dakeniha, makerarenai” (“There’s no way we’ll lose to Verdy”) is well known.
