Sanfrecce Hiroshima are based in Hiroshima City, one of the J.League’s founding “Original Ten” clubs. Their new home, Edion Peace Wing Hiroshima, opened in February 2024 in central Hiroshima near the Castle and Peace Memorial area, holding about 28,500.
Seating Guide
The stadium has Main, Back, goal-end, and Side stands, with a notable “Category 3” lower-tier central Back Stand section. Built in the heart of the city (unlike the old suburban athletics-track Big Arch), it offers much closer sightlines.

Official tickets can be purchased through the club’s English page or the Pia ticketing site.
The team color is purple, and the new stadium’s seating itself is uniformly purple. The ultras group is documented under the name “Hiroshima Ursus.” The club won consecutive titles in 2012–2013 and again in 2015 (an 8th-place finish in 2014 broke the streak in between).

🚌 Getting Around — new downtown stadium
The new “EDION Peace Wing Hiroshima,” which opened in February 2024, sits in Chuo Park near the Atomic Bomb Dome (replacing the old Edion Stadium Hiroshima, used for about 30 years). It’s about a 10–15 minute walk from Hiroden (tram) stops “Genbaku Dome-mae” or “Kamiyacho-higashi,” or take Tram Line 1 five stops from Hiroshima station to “Hondori” station and walk 5 minutes.
🏨 Lodging
Hotels a 3-minute walk from Hiroshima station’s north (Shinkansen) exit offer convenient access to the Peace Memorial Park and Miyajima too, and since the new stadium is right downtown, hotels near the Hondori/Kamiyacho shopping streets are also reachable on foot or with one tram transfer.
🎟️ Tickets
The official “SANFRE TICKET” site (built on quick.pia.jp) allows QR ticket purchases without registration, with a ¥110 system fee per ticket. The official site also has an English-language ticket guide page.
🗺️ Tourism Tie-in
The new stadium is about 700m from the Atomic Bomb Dome, right next to the Peace Memorial Park, and it’s common to combine a match with a trip to Miyajima (Itsukushima Shrine) from Hiroshima station for a “match + Peace Memorial Park + Miyajima” day. An interactive football museum inside the stadium (¥500 adult) also runs year-round.

Away sections hold about 2,200 seats in the north end, with only 2 concession stands there — a commonly cited tip is to eat before entering or take advantage of re-entry. The area around the stadium is packed with Hiroshima specialties like okonomiyaki and oyster dishes.
