Cerezo Osaka are based in Osaka City, originating from Yanmar Diesel’s company team in 1957 and taking its current name through a 1994 public naming contest. Their home, Yodoko Sakura Stadium (in Nagai Park), holds about 24,500.
Seating Guide
The stadium has Main and Back stands plus goal-end seating (3,842 home seats, 2,705 away seats). Only the South Stand (away goal-end) lacks a roof — everything else is covered.
Tickets
Official tickets can be purchased through “CEREZO TICKET,” the English-language site launched in 2024.
The name “Cerezo” is Spanish for “cherry tree” (nickname “The Flaming Pinks”), reflecting a distinct pink identity that echoes Osaka’s cherry blossoms. Founded in 1994, the “Real Osaka Ultras (ROU)” lead pink-themed tifos and chants, with the Osaka Derby against Gamba Osaka as the biggest rivalry.

💡 Insider Tips
🚌 Getting Around
It’s about 600m/a 7-minute walk from Exit 3 of Osaka Metro’s Midosuji Line Nagai station. JR Hanwa Line’s Tsurugaoka station (east exit) is also about 450m/5 minutes away — the stadium sits within Nagai Park, so it’s fully walkable without needing a shuttle bus.
🏨 Lodging
Nagai and Tsurugaoka stations are a few Midosuji Line stops from downtown Osaka (near Tennoji/Abeno), so staying near Tennoji or Abeno Harukas and taking the subway there is the practical approach.
🎟️ Tickets — stadium renamed
The stadium was renamed from “Yodoko Sakura Stadium” to “Yanmar Hanasaka Stadium” on April 1, 2026. The official English ticket site launched in 2024 (quick.pia.jp/cerezo_en) allows purchase without registration, with dynamic pricing applied.
🗺️ Tourism Tie-in
Nagai Park itself is a roughly 66-hectare comprehensive park including the Nagai Botanical Garden and the Osaka Museum of Natural History, making it easy to combine sightseeing with a match.
🎁 Club Perks — a Korean player connection
Goalkeeper Kim Jin-hyeon joined in 2009 and played 265 J.League career matches through 2015 and beyond, becoming a key player for the club.
💡 Insider Tips
A large base of passionate female fans, known as “Cere-jo,” gives this club a freer, more upbeat cheering atmosphere compared to other J.League clubs. The “Cerezo-baru” food court in front of the stadium offers Osaka specialties like takoyaki and okonomiyaki.
