Club Overview

The New York Yankees are an MLB American League (East Division) team based in the Bronx, New York, and the league’s most decorated franchise with 27 World Series titles. Their home, Yankee Stadium (opened 2009), holds about 52,325 including standing room.

Seating Guide

Monument Park honors franchise legends; the passionate “Bleacher Creatures” in sections 203/305 perform the “Roll Call” (since 1998), calling each defensive player’s name until acknowledged; and section 104, “Judge’s Chambers,” is reserved for Aaron Judge fans.

Tickets

Official tickets can be purchased at mlb.com/yankees/tickets.

💡 Insider Tips

🚌 Getting Around

161st St–Yankee Stadium station (4/D trains) sits right in front of Gate 6. All subway and bus fares use the OMNY tap-to-pay system, and once you hit $35 in fares within 7 days, all further rides that week are free automatically — no special tourist card needed. From JFK, take the AirTrain ($8.75) and transfer to the LIRR or subway for about $14–16 total.

🏨 Lodging

In the Bronx itself, options include the Opera House Hotel (a converted 1913 opera house, 8.8 rating, great value), Radio Hotel (12–15 min walk), and Cabana Hotel (16 min walk, parking included). Many reviewers note heavy police presence and crowds actually make game days feel safe.

🎟️ Tickets — Correction

Primary sales go through Ticketmaster. The official resale partner is not StubHub — it’s been SeatGeek since 2023 (a 5-year league-wide MLB deal). The accurate combo is Ticketmaster (face value) plus SeatGeek (official resale).

🗺️ City Pass Bundling

Both the New York Pass and Go City (Explorer) standardly include a Yankee Stadium classic tour. Most of these are non-gameday tour products though, so check the specific package to see if it includes an actual game ticket.

💡 Insider Tips

Gate 4 is less crowded than Gate 6. It’s worth checking your actual sightline on aviewfrommyseat.com before choosing seats. Gates open 90 minutes before first pitch, so arriving 30 minutes early is plenty.
