In the league’s restart after the World Cup, he starred on July 4 at FC Anyang — opening the scoring with a header in the 2nd minute, adding a powerful strike in the 26th minute of the second half, and then assisting Lee Ho-jae’s winner, meaning he was involved in all three goals of Pohang’s 3–2 victory. He was also included in the Round 16 Best XI.
