On July 8, 2026, the J.League announced the ‘J.League International Series 2026 — Academy Match’. The U-15 J.League Select will play Liverpool FC U15 on July 24 (Fri) and July 26 (Sun) at Ajinomoto Field Nishigaoka. Both matches kick off at 18:30, are 80 minutes (two 40-minute halves), and, if tied, will be decided by penalty shootouts. Tickets must be issued via J.League Ticket; admission itself is free but a system fee of ¥110 applies. The event—organized with cooperation from the JFA to give academy players international experience—continues for a third consecutive year; last year the J‑League Select won the second match 2–0.
