K League Meets North American Fans in LA
The Korea Professional Football League is running a K League promotional booth at the 53rd Los Angeles Korean Festival, held in Los Angeles from October 1 to 4. The festival is a large Korean cultural event expected to draw about 400,000 visitors, with around 290 booths this year. At its booth, the league is introducing K League clubs and their home cities and holding a K League quiz, prize draws and events for children. It is also promoting the official K League social media channels and the K League TV platform, while producing content on site. Following last month’s K League Day in Tokyo, it is the league’s second overseas promotional event, part of a strategy to raise the K League’s profile in North America.

AG Final vs Japan: Hosts Vow to Dominate
Host nation Japan have begun preparing for the men’s football final of the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games against Lee Min-sung’s South Korea. The final kicks off at 7:30 p.m. on October 3. Japan reached it after a 1-1 draw with Uzbekistan in the semifinals, winning on penalties. Japan goalkeeper Alex Pisano said they must not repeat that day’s mistakes against Korea, and that they need to dominate from the start and control the game. Forward Yumeki Yokoyama said the tournament would mean nothing if they lost the final, adding that they want to win at home. South Korea beat China 2-1 in the semifinals and are chasing a first-ever fourth straight Asian Games title, after Incheon 2014, Jakarta-Palembang 2018 and Hangzhou 2022.
