Bucheon lets slip a 1,602-day wait for a win
Bucheon FC 1995 let a home win slip through its fingers in the closing stages. Kim Jong-woo opened the scoring eight minutes into the second half with a one-touch finish off a Bassani assist, putting the club on the verge of its first home win over Anyang in a staggering 1,602 days. But in the 70th minute, an Anyang free kick squirmed through goalkeeper Kim Hyun-yup’s hands and crossed the line, leveling the match at 1-1. The draw left Bucheon 10th on 31 points and Anyang 6th on 34. Bucheon manager Lee Young-min could not hide his frustration after the match.
