Cheer Culture
Owner Hiroshi Mikitani changed the kit from black-and-white stripes to crimson, referencing his “Crimson Group” branding and his alma mater Harvard’s color. The club gained global visibility from 2018–2023 when Andrés Iniesta played for the team, leading Vissel to their first-ever major trophy — the 2019 Emperor’s Cup (beating Kashima Antlers in the final) — and the 2020 Japanese Super Cup.
