Club Overview

Tokyo Verdy (formerly Yomiuri FC / Verdy Kawasaki) are a J1 League club sharing Ajinomoto Stadium with FC Tokyo. One of Japanese football’s most historically dominant clubs with 7 league titles, 5 Emperor’s Cups, and 6 League Cups, they returned to J1 in 2024 after a long spell in the lower divisions.

Seating Guide

The stadium structure matches FC Tokyo’s, with the upper Main section branded “Main A” on Verdy match days. Verdy’s most passionate supporters occupy the unallocated goal-end seating.

Cheer Culture

The name “Verdy” comes from the Portuguese word “verde” (green), chosen in 1992 as a tribute to the Brazilian club Palmeiras. Verdy is the other side of the Tokyo Derby with FC Tokyo.
