Club Overview

The New York Jets were founded in 1959 as the New York Titans and took the name Jets in 1963. Led by Joe Namath, the club won Super Bowl III following the 1968 season — the franchise’s only championship to date.

The New York Jets are an AFC East franchise playing at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Their high point remains the Super Bowl III win in 1968, famous for Joe Namath’s “guaranteed victory” prediction.

Seating Guide

MetLife Stadium is a large open-air venue shared with the New York Giants.

Food Guide

The stadium sits right next to American Dream, one of the world’s largest malls, so multicultural dining options are unusually rich.

Cheer Culture

The “J-E-T-S! Jets! Jets! Jets!” chant began in the 1970s at Shea Stadium, when two fans named Larry Mack and Don Schaeffer started spelling it out from opposite sides of the upper deck. Since 1986, a superfan nicknamed “Fireman Ed” has become the iconic figure leading the chant.

💡 Insider Tips

MetLife Stadium is best reached by NJ Transit. From New York Penn Station, transfer at Secaucus Junction to the game-day-only Meadowlands Rail Service, which drops you right at the stadium’s main gate (the HCL Tech Gate) (round trip $11 from NYC, $4.50 from Secaucus). Trains run starting 3.5 hours before kickoff.

The stadium is in East Rutherford, New Jersey, about 13km west of Manhattan. Staying in Manhattan and taking the train round-trip is the simplest option, while hotels in Secaucus sit closer to the stadium and often include free parking.

🎟️ Tickets

Official tickets and verified resale are available at newyorkjets.com/tickets (powered by Ticketmaster).

🗺️ Nearby Sightseeing

The visiting-fan section is in the lower-deck west sections 124-140. The biggest perk is being free to combine your trip with any of Manhattan’s countless attractions.

🎁 Club Perks

Seoul-born kicker Younghoe Koo joined the Jets’ kicking competition for the 2026 season, after serving as Atlanta’s starting kicker from 2019-2025 and a stint on the New York Giants’ practice squad during the 2025 season.

💡 Insider Tips

The Jets and Giants share the same stadium, so double-check which team’s game you’re buying tickets for. Without a pre-purchased pass, your only option is the cash lot at 20 Murray Hill Road north of the stadium (around $55), so public transit is far simpler.
