Balaídos turf replaced

A fungus problem forced Celta to remove and replace Balaídos’ turf after a LaLiga inspection. Celta–Osasuna was postponed to August 27; machines are working now. LaLiga outlined about 3 days to remove the old turf and 6–8 days to stabilise roots. The stadium faces a congested schedule with matches on Aug 24, 27, 30 and 31.

Sevilla: signings all registered

Sevilla will start the season with all new signings registered and available to the coach, though the squad remains thin. Vlachodimos returns on loan; Fran González is likely to sit on the bench, and newcomers Juan Iglesias and Sangante are expected to reinforce the defence. Robbie Ure is considered an attacking option off the bench.
