A fungus problem forced Celta to remove and replace Balaídos’ turf after a LaLiga inspection. Celta–Osasuna was postponed to August 27; machines are working now. LaLiga outlined about 3 days to remove the old turf and 6–8 days to stabilise roots. The stadium faces a congested schedule with matches on Aug 24, 27, 30 and 31.

Sevilla: signings all registered
Sevilla will start the season with all new signings registered and available to the coach, though the squad remains thin.
