Kawasaki Frontale are a J1 League club based in Kawasaki, Kanagawa. Their home, Kawasaki Todoroki Stadium, had its main stand renovated in 2015 and holds about 27,000.

Cheer Culture

The “Kawasaki Kazoku” (Kawasaki Family) ultras are known for elaborate banners referencing Italian ultras culture, with continuous chanting from 30 minutes before kickoff to well after full-time and large-scale tifo displays. The Kanagawa Derby against Yokohama F. Marinos is the biggest rivalry.

🚌 Getting Around — stadium renamed

Since February 2024, the stadium’s nickname changed to “Uvance Todoroki Stadium by Fujitsu” (under contract through 2029). It’s about a 20-minute walk from Musashi-Kosugi station, and a gameday shuttle bus (north exit of Musashi-Kosugi station to the stadium, ¥210) also runs, though many reviews note the wait means it saves little time over walking.

🏨 Lodging

Richmond Hotel Premier Musashi-Kosugi near Musashi-Kosugi station and Daiwa Roynet Hotel Kawasaki near Kawasaki station are options. There’s no hotel right at the stadium entrance, so public transport is the practical approach.

Besides the official J.League Ticket (“Chike-Furo”), Frontale runs a dedicated English ticket sales page for home matches, with resale explicitly and strictly prohibited.

🎁 Club Perks — a Korean player connection

Goalkeeper Jung Sung-ryong has been Kawasaki Frontale’s starting keeper from 2016 to the present, regarded as a “club legend” after winning 4 league titles since joining. An official Korean-language Facebook page is also maintained.

The “Fron Park” food event held at the stadium approach is popular, and NATURA MARKET (known for its large 4-liter draft beer server), a 3-minute walk from Musashi-Kosugi station, is also a popular pre/post-match spot.
