Overview

Incheon United was founded in 2003 as a citizen-owned club led by Incheon Metropolitan City and its residents, who raised 19.5 billion won in founding capital through roughly 47,000 public share subscriptions. The club joined K League starting with the 2004 season.

Its home ground has been Incheon Football Stadium, in use since the 2012 season.

Seating Guide

A football-only stadium often described as one of the closest to the pitch in the country. The entire S stand and the ground floor of the W stand are fully exposed to rain, while the 2nd floor stays mostly dry even in moderate rain — worth keeping in mind when choosing seats on a rainy day. Away fans are seated in the corner section between the N and W stands.

Incheon United’s supporters, named ‘Blue-Black’ after the club’s kit colors, have earned a reputation for tireless, full-throated chanting that lasts the entire 90 minutes. One of their signature anthems is a Korean-lyric adaptation of the Italian folk song ‘Bella Ciao.’

Metropolitan Line 1’s Dowon Station is the most convenient — take exit 1, cross the crosswalk, and you’re right at the stadium; the box office is about a 2-minute walk.
