In a fan vote held July 1–10, Son topped a 12-player shortlist with 32.7% of the vote. A Seoul youth graduate who debuted this season, he has played 14 matches with 1 goal and 2 assists, and the match against Manchester City will take place on August 5, 2026 at Seoul World Cup Stadium.
