The San Diego Padres are an MLB National League (West Division) team based in San Diego, California. Their home, Petco Park (opened 2004), holds 40,209 fans.
The historic 1909 “Western Metal Supply Co.” building is incorporated whole into the left-field foul pole corner, its roof used for rooftop seating, and a sand-play area called “The Beach” sits behind center field.

Three trolley lines (Green/Orange/Blue) stop within a block of Petco Park (Gaslamp Quarter and 12th & Imperial stations), running every 15 minutes or less before games. One-way fare is $2.50, and a day pass is $5.

Many hotels in the Gaslamp Quarter are within walking distance, including Hilton San Diego Gaslamp Quarter (3 blocks), Pendry San Diego, and Hard Rock Hotel San Diego.
