Club Overview

The Golden State Warriors were founded in Philadelphia in 1946 as a BAA charter member, moved to San Francisco in 1962, and adopted their current name in 1971. Counting titles from both its Philadelphia era (1947, 1956) and its Golden State era (1975, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2022), the club has won seven championships in all, placing it among the most decorated franchises in NBA history.

The Golden State Warriors are an NBA Western Conference (Pacific Division) team based in San Francisco, California. Their home, Chase Center, holds 18,064 fans.

Cheer Culture

“Dub Nation” is the team’s real, widely-used fan-culture term tied to Stephen Curry’s 3-point barrages, with crowds famously roaring “Shooter!” on made threes. Before Chase Center opened in 2019, the team was also known for the passionate “Roaracle” crowd tradition at Oakland’s Oracle Arena.

🚌 Getting Around

UCSF/Chase Center station (Muni T/S lines) sits right at the arena’s west side. Your game ticket (mobile or physical) also counts as a free Muni ride that day (cable cars excluded).

🏨 Lodging

LUMA Hotel San Francisco is within a 10-minute walk (one block from the arena), and SoMa-area hotels like Hyatt Place SF/Downtown are also walkable.

🎟️ Tickets

Ticketmaster is the official marketplace. Through the 2025-26 season, the team has sold out 11 consecutive regular seasons of home games (hitting a franchise-record 600 straight sellouts in March 2026) — demand is extremely high.

The Go City San Francisco pass doesn’t include game tickets, but you can walk to several restaurants and breweries within Thrive City.
