Club Overview

The Dallas Mavericks were founded in 1980 as an expansion team and struggled to a 15-67 record in their debut season, but led by Dirk Nowitzki, the club beat the Miami Heat in the 2010-11 season to win its first championship, 31 years after its founding.

The Dallas Mavericks are an NBA Western Conference (Southwest Division) team based in Dallas, Texas. Their home, American Airlines Center, holds 19,200 fans.
