Club Overview

The Brooklyn Nets began in 1967 as a charter ABA franchise, founded in New Jersey and playing as the New York Nets, winning two ABA championships in 1974 and 1976. The club joined the NBA in the 1976 ABA-NBA merger, moved to New Jersey in 1977 to become the New Jersey Nets for many years, and relocated to Brooklyn in 2012.

The Brooklyn Nets are an NBA Eastern Conference (Atlantic Division) team based in Brooklyn, New York. Their home, Barclays Center, holds 17,732 fans and features a distinctive oculus entrance.

🚌 Getting Around

Atlantic Ave-Barclays Ctr station connects directly underground to the arena, with 8 lines meeting there (2/3/4/5, B/D/N/Q/R) — one of NYC’s busiest transit hubs. The LIRR also runs from Atlantic Terminal to Jamaica in about 20 minutes.

Ace Hotel Brooklyn (about 2 minutes away), EVEN Hotel Brooklyn, and Holiday Inn Brooklyn Downtown are all 0.1–0.4 miles away.

The New York CityPASS doesn’t include game tickets, but Atlantic Terminal Mall is right next to the arena, and DUMBO/the Brooklyn Bridge are reachable by subway.

Bags larger than 10x6x2 inches aren’t allowed, and there’s no bag-check service — it’s best to simply not bring one. Nathan’s Famous hot dogs and Fuku fried chicken sandwiches are popular.
