Bassani Chases Bucheon’s All-Time Scoring Record
Bucheon FC 1995 hosts Daejeon Hana Citizen on September 5, and the spotlight is on a personal milestone. Forward Bassani, who has scored 28 goals for the club, would become Bucheon’s all-time leading scorer, surpassing Nilson Junior and Park Chang-jun, with one more goal. Midfielder Kim Jong-woo has also been in fine scoring form, netting the club’s 900th all-time goal against Jeonbuk Hyundai and opening the scoring against Anyang in his most recent match, giving him goals in back-to-back games. Head coach Lee Young-min said, “We will maximize each player’s strengths tactically and expand our ball possession to secure the win.”

Four Strikers, No Finisher for Jeonbuk
Jeonbuk Hyundai’s slump continues. The club managed just one win, three draws and two losses in the league during August, and was even eliminated from the Korea Cup by third-tier side Dangjin Citizen FC. After averaging 1.68 goals per game last season, Jeonbuk has scored only 32 goals in 26 matches this season, tying for fifth in the league in scoring. The team owns four foreign strikers — Modeste, Tiago, Compagno and Gutierrez — yet lacks a reliable finisher, leaving Lee Seung-woo, who has scored seven goals largely through individual effort, to carry much of the attacking burden alone. Head coach Jeong Jung-yong added Italo and Doo Doo during the summer transfer window, but August’s results fell short of expectations.

K League to Launch Integrated Ticketing Next Year
The Korea Professional Football League is building a data-driven operating system for the league’s long-term growth, starting with an integrated ticketing project. The league plans to roll out an integrated ticketing system for participating clubs starting next year, and has already signed a contract with a platform provider to develop it. Under the current system, each club runs its own separate ticketing site, making it difficult to build a unified picture of who is actually attending matches. Once the integrated system is in place, the league will be able to track not just attendance numbers but also fan demographics and behavior. Clubs including Ulsan HD, Seoul E-Land and Yongin FC have already begun collecting and using their own fan data independently.
