Seibu rallies for five in 7th, tops Nippon-Ham 5-2
On August 12 at EsCon Field, the Saitama Seibu Lions rallied for five runs in the seventh inning to beat the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters 5-2. Kojima’s three-run homer in the seventh broke the game open, and Watanabe was credited with the win (5-6). Nippon-Ham homered via Kiyomiya and Mizuno but could not overcome the deficit. On August 12 at Rakuten Mobile Park, the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles beat Orix 7-2. In the sixth inning MacCasker hit a grand slam among a five-run frame that decided the game.
