The Coyote is a real Mascot Hall of Fame inductee famous for trampoline dunks and crowd comedy bits, and the disciplined, team-first “Spurs Way” culture from the Tim Duncan–Gregg Popovich era (1997–2016) is a genuinely and frequently cited franchise identity across the league.

💡 Insider Tips
🚌 Getting Around
The arena is about 8km east of downtown/the Riverwalk and isn’t walkable from there. VIA Metropolitan Transit runs a gameday express bus ($1.30, from two downtown park-and-ride lots), but Uber/Lyft or driving is generally recommended.
🏨 Lodging
There’s essentially no walkable hotel option at the arena — staying downtown near the Riverwalk and taking a car or rideshare is the locally recommended approach.
🎟️ Tickets
Ticketmaster is the official primary sales channel. Following the signing of Victor Wembanyama, home openers in the 2025-26 season sold out consecutively.
🗺️ City Pass Bundling
Neither the San Antonio CityPASS nor Go City pass includes game tickets, but the tourism board directly promotes a “game + weekend getaway” itinerary combining the Riverwalk, the Alamo, and Market Square.
💡 Insider Tips
Bags under 12x12x6 inches are allowed (clear or not), or a clear vinyl bag up to 12x6x12 inches, or a small clutch (4.5×6.5 inches). Black or silver attire is encouraged, and Texas-style brisket is the signature food.
