Seating Guide

100-level Baseline, Center, and Corner sections are closest to the floor; the 200 level includes Balcony seats, Blue Seats, and Chase Bridges. The courtside seats known as “Celebrity Row” are especially famous.

“Celebrity Row” is a genuine, decades-long MSG tradition — filmmaker Spike Lee has held Knicks season tickets since 1985 and is world-famous for courtside trash-talking with Reggie Miller and Michael Jordan in the 1990s.

💡 Insider Tips

🚌 Getting Around

Madison Square Garden sits right above Penn Station, giving it excellent access — the A/C/E lines (8th Ave entrance, right below the arena), 1/2/3 lines (7th Ave entrance, 1 block), and B/D/F/M/N/Q/R/W lines (about a 4-minute walk from Herald Square) are all available.

🏨 Lodging

Fairfield Inn & Suites Midtown Manhattan/Penn Station (0.13 miles, 3-minute walk) and Holiday Inn Express NYC Chelsea-NoMad (0.17 miles) are within walking distance.

🎟️ Tickets

Ticketmaster is the official partner, and Ticket Exchange by Ticketmaster is the NBA’s official resale channel. Demand is very high — average prices run $250–350, and popular matchups like the playoffs can push resale prices close to $2,000.

🗺️ City Pass Bundling

Game tickets aren’t included in the New York CityPASS or other major city passes, but MSG’s own tour offers a “Follow Along” guide in English, Spanish, French, Italian, and Dutch.

💡 Insider Tips

Bags up to 22x14x9 inches are allowed, including backpacks (clear bags aren’t required — unusual among major arenas). Prime seats are courtside and the 100-level sidelines (sections 116-118, 106-108), while good-value seats with a solid view are in the 200-level (sections 223-225, 210-212).
