Inside the stadium: Jinmi Fried Chicken, Boyoung Dumplings, and Bonsuwon Galbi are among the vendors. Order ahead through the official wizzap app to skip the line.

Near the stadium: Cafe Diaz Suwon Sports Complex branch (right by the stadium entrance) and Kkabbine Kalguksu (anchovy-broth noodle soup) are popular picks.

Cheering Culture

The kt wiz cheerleading squad performs under the name “Lady Wiz,” and in 2020 even released a debut single as a girl group called “WIZ N.”

During the a cappella section of the hit-cheer song, the cheerleaders take turns doing a bat-swing motion in order, while fans are free to move however they like — no fixed choreography required. The relaxed, individualistic cheering style is often cited as a trait of this relatively young franchise.

🚌 Getting Around

You’ll need to transfer buses at Hwaseo Station (Line 1). Bus 19 runs direct but comes infrequently, so transferring via bus 37 + 25 is a solid alternative. The stadium shuttle bus was suspended during COVID-19 and has not resumed, so plan on public transit or a taxi.

🏨 Lodging

There isn’t much large-scale lodging within walking distance of the stadium. Hotels near Hwaseong Haenggung Palace and Suwon Station (like Ramada Plaza Suwon) exist, but they’re 2.7km+ from the stadium, so you’ll need separate transportation.

🎟️ Tickets — Available From Abroad

kt wiz is the only one of the 10 KBO teams where you can pre-book tickets online from overseas. On the team’s official app, wizzap, selecting the “Foreigner” account type lets you sign up and buy tickets with just an email verification code and an internationally-issued card — no Korean phone number required. The app supports English, and QR smart tickets let you skip the entry line.

💡 Insider Tips

Jinmi Tongdak, inside the stadium, is one of only two locations nationwide of a 30-year fried chicken institution from Suwon’s famous Tongdak Street. The outfield lawn seats are first-come, first-served, so bringing a mat is worth it. You can even order food delivered to your seat through the wizzap app. Many visitors combine a trip with nearby Hwaseong Haenggung Palace for a half-day itinerary.
