On August 7, 2026 at the Tokyo Dome Yakult defeated the Yomiuri Giants 1-0. Nagaoka’s solo homer in the seventh provided the winning run, and starter Okugawa held the game together to pick up the win (W: Okugawa; L: Howard). Before 42,384 fans Yakult’s pitching carried them through a tight contest.

DeNA beats Carp 2-1

On August 7, 2026 in Yokohama DeNA defeated the Hiroshima Carp 2-1. Tsutsugoh’s leadoff solo homer in the first provided the early margin; the pitching staff limited Hiroshima to a single run and Taira earned the victory. The bullpen held the late innings to secure the close win.

Nippon‑Ham tops Rakuten 3-2

On August 7, 2026 at ES CON FIELD the Hokkaido Nippon‑Ham Fighters beat the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles 3-2. A number of key hits from substitutes helped Nippon‑Ham’s offense, and Yanagawa picked up the win in relief (W: Yanagawa; L: Nakagomi). Rakuten’s Kurokawa homered but could not complete the comeback.

SoftBank beats Seibu 5-2

On August 7, 2026 at Belluna Dome the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks defeated the Saitama Seibu Lions 5-2. H. Matsumoto worked seven strong innings, allowing three hits and recording 10 strikeouts to earn the win, and Sugiyama closed out the game for the save. Seibu’s Tsuge homered but the rally fell short.

ORIX routs Lotte 6-2

On August 7, 2026 at ZOZO Marine the ORIX Buffaloes defeated the Chiba Lotte Marines 6-2. ORIX homers by Yamanaka, Nishikawa and Kita helped build an early lead, and Teranishi earned the victory (W: Teranishi; L: Hiroike). The offense and pitching combined for a convincing win.

Chunichi rallies to beat Hanshin 3-2

On August 7, 2026 at Kyocera Dome the Chunichi Dragons scored three late runs to overturn Hanshin and win 3-2. Fujishima earned the win as Chunichi’s late rally turned the game around. Hanshin had taken an early lead on Sato’s homer but could not hold on against the comeback.
