On August 15, 2026 at Bantelin Dome, the Chunichi Dragons routed the Yomiuri Giants 11-2. Sano hit a two-run homer in the first and added a three-run shot in the third, putting the game away early. Starter Maller earned his 5th win of the season with 7 scoreless innings; Giants starter Takemaru struggled. Game time 2:55; attendance 36,697.

Rakuten wins slugfest, Muneyama drives in two

On August 15, 2026 at Mizuho PayPay Dome, the Rakuten Golden Eagles beat the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks 6-4 in a slugfest. SoftBank’s Yuki Yanagita and Riku Watanabe each homered, but Rakuten’s Rui Muneyama answered with a two-run shot. Starter Takahisa Hayakawa earned the win with 7 innings and 2 runs allowed; SoftBank starter Taiga Kamichatani took the loss after allowing 6 runs. Attendance 39,894.

Fabian’s homer flips the game, Carp edge Tigers

On August 15, 2026 at Mazda Stadium, the Hiroshima Carp edged the Hanshin Tigers 5-2. Hanshin’s Morishita opened the scoring with a two-run homer in the first, but Hiroshima’s Fabian answered with a homer in the sixth to flip the game. Starter Yu Saito worked 5 innings, allowing 2 runs, for his second win of the season. Game time 3:03; attendance 31,945.

Fujiwara’s homer lifts Marines past Lions

On August 15, 2026, the Chiba Lotte Marines beat the Saitama Seibu Lions 5-1. Kyota Fujiwara hit a solo homer, his 6th of the season, to help the cause. Reliever Shunsuke Nakamori picked up his 4th win of the season. Seibu’s lineup was never able to mount a comeback.

Fighters’ bats erupt for 12 runs

On August 15, 2026 at Kyocera Dome, the Nippon-Ham Fighters routed the Orix Buffaloes 12-4. Tatsuya Mizuno hit a three-run homer in the eighth and Yuki Nomura added another homer as the Fighters’ offense erupted. Takayuki Kato earned the win, working 5⅔ innings with 2 runs allowed. Orix’s Ryo Ota drove in 2 runs, but it wasn’t enough.

Iwata’s walk-off single wins it for Yakult

On August 15, 2026 at Jingu Stadium, the Yakult Swallows walked off the Yokohama DeNA BayStars 4-3. Miyamoto’s RBI double tied the game in the fifth, and in the ninth, Yukihiro Iwata’s infield single brought Montel home for the walk-off win. Shimizu earned his 2nd win of the season.
