Fighters’ offense erupts in 8-2 win
On August 13 the Hokkaido Nippon‑Ham Fighters beat the Seibu Lions 8-2. Gunji launched a two‑run homer in the 1st inning (his fifth), while Canario, Reyes and Castro supplied multiple hits as the offense produced big innings. Starter Yamasaki went five innings for the win and the bullpen closed out a scoreless relief effort (Att. 31,567).

ORIX Buffaloes beat the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles 8-2 on August 13. Nishikawa had multiple hits and two RBIs as ORIX collected ten hits. Katayama earned the win as ORIX built a multi‑run lead in the middle innings and the bullpen preserved the margin (Att. 22,589).

Marines win tight game on homers from Ueda and Ogawa
