Samsung rallies from behind to beat NC
The Samsung Lions snapped a two-game skid with an 8-6 road win over the NC Dinos at NC Park in Changwon on August 22. Trailing 5-6 after the fourth inning, Samsung retook the lead in the eighth on a bases-loaded walk by Choi Hyoung-woo and a sacrifice fly from Ruben Diaz, then padded the margin with a run-scoring single from Kim Ji-chan in the ninth. Closer Kim Jae-yoon came on in the eighth and retired all four batters he faced to lock down his 27th save of the season, keeping him atop the league’s saves leaderboard. The win pulled Samsung within one game of league-leading KT Wiz, whose game was rained out.
