The Nippon Professional Baseball organization announced on July 13, 2026, the roster for “Mynavi All-Star Game 2026” (including manager selections). Tokyo Yakult Swallows pitcher Hoshi Tomoya was chosen as a manager’s selection, marking his first All-Star appearance. According to the club’s announcement, Hoshi expressed gratitude for the selection and said he looks forward to exchanging with younger players and facing the Pacific League’s strong hitters. Teammate Shimizu Noboru was also named and will be making his third All-Star appearance. Game 1 is scheduled for July 28 at the Tokyo Dome, and Game 2 for July 29 in Toyama.
