Mourinho presented

Real Madrid officially presented José Mourinho on 18 August 2026 in a private ceremony at Valdebebas. The Portuguese coach signed until June 2029, beginning his second spell after 2010–2013. Florentino Pérez and the club’s honorary president attended; the club said future signings will follow the same private format.

Atleti aims to break opener jinx

Atlético de Madrid are preparing for their league opener with the aim of ending a recent run of poor starts. Their match against Málaga was rescheduled to Wednesday 19 August 2026 to accommodate internationals.
