Club Overview

Elche CF is a La Liga club based in Elche. Their home ground is Martínez Valero, with a capacity of around 31,388.

Seating Guide

Martínez Valero holds UEFA’s 4-star “Elite Stadium” rating and is made up of Tribuna, Preferencia, and Fondos/Curvas (curved end sections). It’s also famous as the site of Hungary’s record 10-1 win over El Salvador at the 1982 World Cup.

Tickets

The safest way to buy tickets is directly through the club’s official website. Popular matches are often prioritized for season-ticket (abono) holders before general sale, so check availability as soon as your travel dates are set.

This site is mainly in Spanish — here's how to get through it

  1. On the ticket site, click your desired match date.
  2. Choose a seating zone — pricing for each zone is shown directly on the site.
  3. Sign up or log in, then pick your seat and complete the payment.
  4. Some clubs check ID against the buyer's name at entry, so bring your passport along with the ticket.

Tip: in Chrome, right-click the page and choose "Translate to English" to read button labels instantly.

Cheer Culture

The “franjiverde” (green-striped) nickname dates to the club’s 1926-27 kit design, and the club represents a local identity tied to the city’s famous palm groves.

💡 Insider Tips

🚌 Getting Around

Bus routes E and F offer the best option, getting you within a 5-minute walk of the stadium; routes R12, R9, K2, M, and the C-1 Cercanías train also work. The stadium is about 4km from downtown and 10km from Alicante-Elche airport, with extra service on matchdays.

🏨 Lodging

There’s genuinely no walking-distance lodging — reviews often describe it as an isolated spot, more than 35 minutes from public transport with almost no nearby restaurants or amenities. Even the closest 4-star hotel is about 2.4km away.

🎟️ Tickets

Official sales run through entradas.elchecf.es. Members get 24-hour priority for Category A matches (Real Madrid, Barcelona, etc.), but general public sales run on the same site alongside it, with no barrier found against foreign buyers.

💡 Insider Tips

The atmosphere is considered family-friendly with no hooligan issues, and sightlines are good. Some concession stands take cash only, so keep that in mind. Elche’s Palmeral (palm grove, a UNESCO World Heritage site) is nearby and pairs well with a visit.
