Club Overview
Getafe CF was founded in 1983 to replace an earlier local club that had folded due to financial trouble. The club earned its first promotion to La Liga in the 2003-04 season.
Getafe CF is a La Liga club based in Getafe, in the southern Madrid metro area. Their home ground is the Coliseum, with a capacity of around 16,500.

Cheer Culture
Getafe’s nickname ‘Azulones’ (deep blues) traces back to the original Getafe club, which disappeared in 1933, and its blue kit worn in tribute to local workers’ uniforms. Backed by 18,000 socios and 18 local fan clubs (peñas), the Coliseum is known as one of the toughest away fortresses in La Liga.
