CA Osasuna was founded in 1920. The club reached its first-ever Copa del Rey final in 2005 but lost a close extra-time battle to Real Betis.

Cheer Culture

Osasuna is one of only four Spanish clubs — alongside Real Madrid, Barcelona and Athletic Bilbao — still owned by its ‘socio’ members, giving fans genuine pride of ownership. El Sadar was named ‘World Stadium of the Year’ in 2021, and is famous for crowd noise so intense it once set La Liga’s all-time decibel record during a 2009 match against Real Madrid.

It’s about a 12–15 minute bus ride (about €2) from downtown. Alongside regular routes L06, L11, and L16, matchday-special routes R1 (direct to the city center, every 10 minutes), R2, R4, and R5 also run.

Budget hotels exist in the Cordovilla and Galar areas within 1.5km of the stadium, and downtown has options like Hotel Maisonnave and Holiday Inn Express.
