Within a 20-minute walk: restaurants, marts, and bakeries cluster around Suwon Sports Complex. Locals point to Geujip Haejangguk (hangover soup with makgeolli), Jangan Kalguksu (knife-cut noodles and dumplings), and Huaning Sonjajang (open 24 hours).
A bit further: Haenggung-dong is the spot for photogenic cafes and restaurants, though parking is difficult — public transit is recommended.
Cheering Culture
The kt wiz cheerleading squad performs under the name “Lady Wiz,” and in 2020 even released a debut single as a girl group called “WIZ N.”
During the a cappella section of the hit-cheer song, the cheerleaders take turns doing a bat-swing motion in order, while fans are free to move however they like — no fixed choreography required. The relaxed, individualistic cheering style is often cited as a trait of this relatively young franchise.
