KIA looked set for a series win, leading 7-2 through the eighth inning, but their bullpen collapsed in the bottom of the ninth for a stunning defeat. After Davidson’s RBI single sparked the comeback, Kiwoom’s Kim Jae-hyun stepped up with the bases loaded and two outs in the ninth and launched a grand slam off Lee Eui-ri, completing an 8-7 walk-off win. It was his 8th career home run and first-ever walk-off blast, coming roughly four years after his last one in May 2022 — a miracle finish from a win probability of just 0.8%.

Moon Jung-bin and Song Chan-ui both go deep for three-run blasts
LG routed Hanwha 12-3 on the road in Daejeon on the 23rd. Moon Jung-bin opened the scoring with his 15th home run of the season, a three-run shot in the top of the first, and Song Chan-ui followed with his 12th, also a three-run homer, in the top of the second, putting the game away early. Starter Carlos Carrasco turned in a quality start, allowing 3 runs (2 earned) on 5 hits over 6 innings to pick up his second win of the season. With the victory, LG moved past KIA into third place by half a game.

Kwak Bin reaches double-digit wins for the season
Doosan beat Lotte 3-1 at Jamsil on the 23rd, halting the visitors’ bid for a sixth straight win. Starter Kwak Bin led the team to victory, picking up his 10th win of the season.
