The Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles are a Pacific League club based in Sendai, Miyagi. Their home, Rakuten Mobile Park Miyagi, opened in 1950 and is the Pacific League’s only all-natural-grass field, with a capacity of about 30,500.
Family-friendly seating options include a lawn-style “Picnic Box,” group seats, table seats, and a “Party Deck.” The left-field area features “Smile Glico Park,” an entertainment zone with a Ferris wheel, holding about 7,000 people.
Tickets
Official ticket information is available on the club’s website.
Featuring the fight song “Habatake Rakuten Eagles” (“Spread Your Wings”) with a crimson-red balloon release in the 7th inning. Since 2018, the Eagles have been the only NPB team using amplifiers instead of live trumpets, out of consideration for a nearby hospital.

💡 Insider Tips
🚌 Getting Around — stadium nickname changed
As of January 2026, the stadium’s nickname changed to “Rakuten Mobile Saikyo Park Miyagi” (under contract through the end of 2028). It’s about a 20-minute walk from JR Sendai station’s east exit, or 5–7 minutes from Tsutsujigaoka station, one stop away on the Senseki Line. A gameday shuttle bus from Sendai station’s east exit takes about 8 minutes, ¥100 for adults.
🏨 Lodging
“Rakuten STAY x EAGLES,” right on the stadium grounds, is a unique 4-room lodging facility open for stays even on non-gamedays, with team-colored rooms offering stadium views (from ¥25,000/night). Regular hotels include one a 1-minute walk from Tsutsujigaoka station (about a 15-minute walk to the stadium).
🎟️ Tickets
Priority sales go through “E-Ticket” and the “CLUB EAGLES” fan club (4 tiers), and “Tickets in Japan” allows purchases with overseas credit cards. Cash often isn’t accepted for in-stadium payments.
🗺️ Tourism Tie-in
There’s the “Loople Sendai” city loop bus covering downtown sights (with perks at connected facilities when you buy a day pass), and the “Sendai Marugoto Pass” free pass for foreign visitors.
🎁 Club Perks
The official English website (rakuteneagles.jp/en) provides team roster, schedule, and stadium access information in English, Japanese, and Traditional Chinese.
💡 Insider Tips
The regional specialty gyutan (grilled beef tongue) is available inside the stadium, with a gyutan stand near the visitor cheering section. Since it’s an open-air stadium rather than a dome, come prepared for the weather.
