Arsenal have completed the signing of goalkeeper Illan Meslier on a free transfer following his departure from Leeds United, the club announced on July 9–10. The 26‑year‑old Frenchman joins the champions after seven seasons at Leeds, where he made over 200 appearances and kept numerous clean sheets. Meslier said he is “very happy and very proud” to join Arsenal and is looking forward to pre‑season, competing for game time behind first‑choice David Raya; he will link up with the squad and wear the number 30 shirt.
