The blast, his 16th of the season, made him the oldest player in KBO history to hit a grand slam at 42 years, 8 months and 10 days old, breaking the previous record of 41 years, 3 months and 29 days set by former Lotte Giants import hitter Felix Jose. Choi finished the game 2-for-5 with a home run, four RBIs and two runs scored as Samsung cruised to a 12-2 win, extending its winning streak to three games. The Lions also pulled off a rare feat when Kim Young-woong added a second grand slam later in the game — the first time Samsung had hit two grand slams in one contest.

Kim Do-young’s 39th Homer, Castro’s 7 RBIs Power KIA Rout
The KIA Tigers unleashed 13 hits and 16 runs to defeat the Lotte Giants 16-11 at Gwangju-KIA Champions Field on August 26.
