Cheering Culture
SSG was the first KBO club to build its chants around the team’s home city rather than words like “strongest” or “invincible” — a tradition carried over from its SK Wyverns days as “Incheon SK,” now continued as “Incheon SSG.”
The club’s first official cheer song under the SSG name was unveiled at the 2021 rebranding ceremony, performed by Ha Hyun-woo of the band Guckkasten. Another cheer song carried over from the SK Wyverns era is based on “The Victory,” the theme song of Korean girl group Koreana from the 1988 Seoul Olympics.
