Overview

The Lotte Giants are a KBO League team based in Busan. Their home stadium, Sajik Baseball Stadium, seats about 23,200 as of the 2026 season, and is famous for having the most passionate fan cheering culture in the league.

Seating Guide

A 2022 renovation removed the old Exciting Zone and replaced it with a bullpen for pitchers. The seats closest to the field are the Avenuel seats, and there’s a range of sponsor-named table seating, including the central table seats behind the catcher and the outfield Glamping Zone. Lotte plans to relocate temporarily to Busan Asiad Main Stadium for three seasons starting in 2028, with a newly built Sajik stadium set to open in 2031 — so the current Sajik Stadium will look different within a few years.

Cheering Culture

Lotte’s signature song, “Busan Galmaegi” (Busan Seagull), is considered one of the most powerful anthems in Korean baseball. Fans wave newspapers early in the game to wish for victory, then switch to waving orange plastic bags in the later innings — a cheer unique to Lotte.

When the opposing pitcher throws a pickoff attempt, the crowd shouts “Ma!” (a Busan-dialect exclamation). Lotte’s cheering is known for being fan-driven rather than led strictly by the cheer captain. “Galmaegi” (seagull) is the nickname for Lotte fans.

🚌 Getting Around

Subway Line 3 Sajik Station exit 1 is a 5–10 minute walk, or Sports Complex Station exit 9 is a 5-minute walk. Traffic gets heavy around Sajik-dong before and after games, so taking the subway is recommended.

Brown Dot Sajik Baseball Stadium is just a 1-minute walk from the ballpark.

Lotte runs its own booking system (ticket.giantsclub.com) only — Interpark doesn’t carry tickets. Ticket kiosks at the gate are available starting an hour before the game, but they’re Korean-language only, so it’s worth having a translation app ready.

💡 Insider Tips

Dongnae pajeon (a seafood-loaded pancake best pre-ordered), milmyeon noodles, samgyeopsal cup rice, and dakgangjeong are signature foods. “Busan Seagull” is the iconic cheer song, and the first-base side is known for especially passionate cheering. Canned drinks, glass bottles, plastic bottles over 1L, and large bags aren’t allowed in.
