Club Overview

Everton was founded in 1878 as St. Domingo’s. It is one of only six clubs never to have been relegated since the Premier League’s launch in 1992, and it has spent more seasons in England’s top flight — 122 — than any other club.

Everton is a Premier League club based in Liverpool. Since the 2025-26 season, their home ground has been the newly built Hill Dickinson Stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock, with a capacity of around 52,769.

Everton’s players have walked out to the theme from TV drama ‘Z-Cars’ since 1962, a ritual that carried straight over when the club moved to the new Hill Dickinson Stadium in 2025. The ‘Toffee Lady’ tradition — handing out free Everton Mints pitchside before kickoff — was officially revived at the new ground too, deliberately linking the club’s 19th-century roots to its 21st-century future.

Everton fully relocated from Goodison Park to the new Hill Dickinson Stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock in February 2025. Public transport is overwhelmingly recommended — get off at Merseyrail’s Sandhills station and take the dedicated shuttle bus. Driving is strongly discouraged, and there’s no general visitor parking at the stadium.

The Everton-themed Dixie Dean Hotel (about 1.1km) is the closest walkable option, with central Liverpool hotels a 15–25 minute walk away.
